eBay CAN HELP YOU MAKE MORE THAN POCKET MONEY!
eBay is the world's first, biggest and probably the best person-to-person online trading community you'll ever find.
If you have stuff to sell or are looking for stuff you want, then eBay is the place to go.
If you know exactly what you're looking for... Just enter a couple of words in their Search box located at the top of almost every eBay page. Type in words such as "Beatles Memorabilia" - a collection of magazines and trading cards is selling for $132.50, "Vera Wang bridal gown" - currently selling for $2,125.00 or "Victoria's Secret Long Sweater" - just sold for $102.50! A list will appear with matching items. If you'd like to use their advanced search, click on the "Search" button in the Navigation Bar. You can Exclude Words, Search by Price Range and Search by Region of the U.S.
If you just want to browse... a good place to begin is their categories list. Or, you can click on the "Browse" button at the top and bottom of any page.
To place your bid, all you have to do is register first.
To list items that you have that you want to sell you have to register first.
Place your credit card on file with eBay and you're ready to sell! If you want to accept credit cards or Electronic Checks from winning bidders you can sign up for eBay Online Payments.
Now go gather the information you'll need:
- your item description
- the URL (Web site address) for any photos (they have a photo tutorial)
- the category you'll list under (antiques? toys? coins? baby clothes?)
Then, click on the Sell button at the top of any page. This will bring you to the Sell Your Item form. Once you fill in all the necessary information, you're ready to sit back and watch your very own auction progress.
You'll be charged two basic fees, an Insertion Fee and a Final Value Fee - but they're low!
